And as far as being "redneck", yes I am a Southern country girl and proud of it. Far from an idiot however, I can shoot, garden, clean, hunt and cook. I keep the books for my father-in-law's business. I can drive a ATV with the best of them. I am a competition shooter (9mm) and teach classes in handgun protection and safety. I can be sexy as hell when I need to and can make any dress look good. I take care of my husband and daughter. I've been a missionary to orphans in Eastern Europe, worked on political campaigns, run the church nursery. I'm a graphic artist and design websites. And yes I prefer a pick-up truck. I do all this and more despite being 90% deaf.

I take my child to a doctor AND pray to God in Jesus' name. Therefore I cover the spiritual and physical sides of life. I have a degree in Graphic design with a minor in psychology, which I paid for myself. I don't listen to Limbaugh, but I occasionally listen to Beck. I do form my own opinions and landed on conservatism and Christianity. I do look into my own facts, thank you very much.

I found liberalism narrow in thinking and elitist. I reject liberalism because liberals tend to not think it through, want to change everything in sight and are naive. They stand for equality for everyone but themselves, they tend to make assumptions-in this you are liberal.

Glenn Beck is almost worse than Limbaugh, which is kind of like comparing dying of starvation to being beaten to death. As a matter of fact I do listen to Beck, Limbaugh, and Hannity on the radio on a daily basis, because it's all that is carried. I'm sure you won't believe that though, only the liberals and Jews control the media, right? That's not narrow thinking at all.

I used to enjoy listening to the O'Reilly factor radio program in high school, however I assume he is only doing the television side now. Not because I agreed with him did I enjoy the program, but because he seemed to at least make a few decent points here and there without making a complete ass of himself and the party. Before that show came on at roughly 11AM EST, I listened to Howard Stern, who I'm sure is all that is wrong in the world in your eyes.

Anyone that challenges your simplistic, blatantly ethnocentric ideals is narrow minded and elitist. I listen to both Beck and Rush if I'm off work. I don't follow them religiously like some do. They both have agendas. Just like any Republicans and Democrats as well.

I usually research what they say and then form my own opinion about it. You get the same garbage on the left from Olbermann. The left is honestly just the social norm. Almost every media outlet is liberal or somewhat left leaning.

After my high school years it shocked me how I was taught things like FDR was one of the greatest Presidents ever. We had to write essays about how he saved the country and all that. Now I'm worried my kids will someday have to write essays about how Obama's stimulus plans and healthcare saved our country. It was so one sided in high school political classes I'm surprised I came out conservative.

I can;t find the damn video but there was a woman who has lived on HUD, section 8, and welfare for her entire life except for one year that she worked. She said she wouldn't wish that one year of work on anybody because it was so horrible. She went on complain about her big screen TV that was free to her. (It was LCD not plasma) She also complained about how the wood floor was that simulated wood I believe.

I think if you truly and honestly need help and your down on your luck than some welfare programs are okay. But if you're a healthy person and capable of working then it is not a program for you.

When you use terms like welfare state, yet you agree with me on the basics of providing assistance to those that truly need it in the United States, you contradict yourself. You really don't understand why it would be important to study FDR? It was a time in the US in which we experienced the worst economic drought to date. Depending on whose book you read, it can be shifted either way.
