Never.
I played a lot of CS after with some old df'ers you all know (GreyWolf, FireMachine, XII, Styxx and even SilentScope for a time to name a few) but that eventually ended.
I had spurts that john aka sd from gns had me join in on with DF Xtreme and DF:JO but my pc with too much of a pyle for JO.
I played a lot of the first Halo and other than that, only Call of Duty on the 360.
However Francis, I know you have plans and I will surely be looking into it.

I never got into any other games like I did DF1. The only "game" I'm into these days is www.whatifsports.com, I recommend Hardball Dynasty :)
Yea I definitely never got into anything like I was into DF1. I did play COD2 on the computer for quite some time, however I don't think I will ever find a game that even remotely matches up to DF1.

ive played a few, but nothing held my interest for so long. Method, CD, Kami, and I played Halo 2 online, but i think that was like a 2 month deal tops. im hoping that Killzone 2 for the PS3 will be my next big addiction. but then again i think ive said that about 20-30 other games as well.
I haven't been really as addicted to any game as DF either really. I got into DF more than anyone ever should have thx to spud! I was less into SWG. And I say less into wow But Im still leading raids mostly like i was in DF! just not as crazy hardcore!

I think getting screwed in that gamebattles championship put a bad taste in everyones mouth about Halo 2.
I was so freaking pissed about that.. I know if we would have won (because we would have, easily) we all would have played together for a lot longer than we did.

Yea I agree. It all seemed pretty odd to me, that after all the bitching, that GB finally changed their ruls to reflect the MLG rules for Halo 2. Ofcourse now MLG owns GB so i guess all is well over there. Ive tried to go back there and mingle with a few people but all of the kids on there just annoy me. On top of that, I was talking with a guy that i work with back in october about online gaming, and eventually Halo 2 came up. I forget what he said the name of his clan was, but anyhow, he was in the tournament too. We shared some stories about GB and he was telling me how at he thought that Fatal X was going to win the tourney, and then we knocked them out, along with Jew Unit i believe. I dunno, I just thought it was neat

DF was the most entertaining. BHD and Joint Operations were up there in terms of being fun, we did a lot with those two games. The competition didn't have that same feeling that DF had but we took care of BHD and JO. We played DF:Xtreme for about two weeks, it was utter garbage and we never did anything serious with it. Months after JO died, we played Counter Strike:Source for about 8 or 9 months and made an interesting impact. Things have been idle for about a year now. I'm living in Phoenix now.

I had many a sleepless night playing DF1, LW, and TFD, then I got side tracked with a game called Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (some days I still need my fix) from Red Storm Entertainment..played it for the next 7 yeas and missed BHD and Extreme (I know...my bad..) When I heard that Nova-logic was releasing a new game called Joint Operations. I did some reading and watched the trailers...and decided to buy it.....Thats where you'll find me these days....I play under the call-sign Old Skool =DDZ=.

I currently play COD4, but I have never found another game that i truely enjoyed as much as DF1, there was so much fun and competetiion back then, I sometimes wish DF1 still existed and there was 100's of people who played like back in the day, just curious how old was everyone when they started playing DF1 and how old were you when you stopped playing it.
started when i was 14 stopped when i was about 16-17

DF1 was my 1st, FPS.
followed with Rogue Spear
Mechwarriors 4
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
COD : MW2 (waste of money for a PC Gamer :( )
Bad Company 2
and a bunch of other games, but nothing compared to DF1.
Will give the next call of duty a shot when it comes out in November, but to be honest it was DFWorld and the community that made the game great. You can't find that anymore. Novalogic failed so miserably. Now they slap a Delta Force sign on every FPS they come out with.
And now you have all these new FPS kids who yell n00b when ever they get shot. A bit redundant.
I started out at 14, now i'm 25. God I miss the old days.

These are tomorrow's old days LOL. I play BadCompany 2 and have played may others (The CoDs, Arma, The BattleFields) What keeps me in is my squad. A gorup of great guys and girls that play a mixture of games also.
"Back in the Day" means a time when there were so few games, most everyone was plaing Nova stuff. . Now it's all fragmented because there are so many. Also, most computers would run DF1 and others. Now-a-days you need upgrades almost everytime you get a new game. I have all the Nova games and particully liked BHD.
But I still have fun making new friends nd running across some old. I started when 14 while babysitting at my uncle's hose. He had DF1 and since I was a Marine Brat i found it interesting. I soon found out it was a 'social' game and and fun to play online.
I often wonder what DF1 would be like if it was still the only game, but there would be little lag. I do not miss the days when women were not so well accepted and hacks/impersonations were the rule of the day.

I was on a 14.4k connection my entire time in DF. Sometimes it would drive me nuts in games like TDM but it's also part of the reason I could hold and clear a zone with the best of them. I was super good at running flags too but I didn't play CTF that often for some reason I was never as interested. Now I love CTF type games.
ahh the good ol' days haha. By the time I got cable I was long gone from DF but I had to try it. I remember at first I was still shooting like I had major lag issues haha I always had to remind myself. I know cable made the game a lot easier (as far as building up kills) but I can't really say personally because by the time I loaded DF with cable, good players were gone and everyone sucked. I would have probably done more damage with my 14k connection that I was used to.
I do wish I would have had cable early on because a lot of the really good players did, which at the time was the difference maker but I never had problems getting 100+ kills with my 14k connection, I just wasn't doing it when I was 13 years old. I was never that effective with a 50 that's for sure haha. I didn't even waste my time trying.

I never really got into anything else since the DF series. Just something about the games and community that made it the best. Squad practices, tourneys and etc. I have the PS3 and shit, with MW2. But I don't have that "can't wait to play feeling" I had with the DF games.
On the connection note. I currently have 55MB down. Got the upgrade free for a year when COX introduced it to their data packages.
I played pretty much all the Delta Force games up until whatever came after DFX. I can't believe I spent money on DFX, what a terrible game.
After the Delta Force series the only other game I've played, I guess what you would call 'competitively', was CoD2 on the PC where I played a little CAL and CEVO.
The last few years I've been playing the CoD series on my 360. It's not near as fun as PC gaming, but I don't have to upgrade my hardware so it's nice. I just hate getting in all of these pubs with terrible teammates who haven't learned how to play an objective gametype yet.
i ended up with ut99/ut2k3/ut2k4 instagib (mostly ctf), no waiting, no searching, no camping, just freaking fast action.

as far as beating the zandars...not to say this for credibility purposes or to make myself look elite but i gave him and JON a pretty bad whooping in TDM...
i mentioned that before in another post about zandar and he got so mad at me...as far as jon goes
i joined .mod. for like a day and got kicked by hotshot for tagging their clan tag too early...wth? so i joined GNS like a week after and gave jon a lashing in a tdm match or scrim.....once against not for bragging purposes but yea

I doubt Fatshot (the german) cheated. He was one of the best european shooters as far as I can remember, german and Haus hated him (he pretty much hated all germans, Haus is swiss). Haus was one of the best cheater-spotters in the game (no, he wasn't better than I at that) and if he hated the guy he would have stalked him. If Haus never saw anything shady with him, I don't think Hotshot could have cheated. No idea who the other guy was.

The German yes. I had to remove him from my Team for cheating in a squad match.
He would disable his connection, run to a spot behind the enemy team, then re-connect. Also would do this with capping hard flags and TKOTH zone spots.

The joke was obviously too advanced for the americans, so I will explain it.
Hotshot, the german, was quite obese. By calling him Fatshot, I made a joke. You see, by replacing the "hot" part with "fat" I pointed out that he was fat and that is in today's world considered a bad thing (well, outside of the US).
