I would love to see some of the old faces\names around here. I started DF when I was like 12, and now I'm almost 23.

Many good times here. Probably the best time I've ever had as a gamer.

I just love a place to come to where i know I can have a chat with people or even have a good time by reading jokes and all kinds of cool stuff.

DF officially died not along ago....nova released a patch that made all games in novaworld dissappear. Only problem is nobody knew about the patch or how to get it.

This caused everyone left to give up.

Its impossible to teach everyone how to install the new novaworld servers and what not.

You mean, they released a patch after the last one we all played on to purposely do this?

You can still google the novaworld lobby and see servers online http://nw2.novaworld.net/dflobby5_cus.htm . The in game browser however is directed to a non-existent page. The easiest solution I could propose is a hook on df.exe perhaps with detours, which sends your public server ip to some webpage for everyone to look at.

Getting the community together is no easy task, but now the real hard part begins :( Having Novalogic create a game that comes close to Delta Force 1. Nothing will ever match it, but at least comes close. Delta Force extreme was terrible.

it was bad, but i dont think it would be hard to find a bunch of people to play a game. I can think of a bunch of people i could get atleast 4 no question, especially with all the people around it would be entertaining to say the least.

It is hard to actually argue the fact, but DFWorld became a life line for DF1. If I wasn't playing DF1 I was checking the forums at DFWorld. Anyone remember LWWorld :D.

In any case, although unknown to several gamers out there, I would have to say Delta Force 1 has/had the strongest fan base of any other game. (opinion only). I have heard various complaints, but there are an extremely large amount of people who can say that Delta Force 1 was their favorite FPS.


Remember also that Delta Force 1 had no reward system, no ranking system besides the bragging rights through DFWorld. That is why it is still kind of shocking to think how much influence DFWorld had.

To be honest - You guys have been out of the game 5-6 years. I would single handedly beat anyone you put together in a 8 vs 1 game. I still pay money to anyone who can beat me 1v1. /end bragging
