Random people still play DF1?

There are these random death match games with 5-10 people usually always up. Is DF1 still a hot item in Lithuania or something?

It's even dead to Brazillians. All I know is I played in a custom DM and the man had huts/houses in it that I never saw before. I played plenty of custom maps before; it blew me away.
